(VNF) - The Vietnamese Embassy and students in Mexico presented their homeland’s identities at the 9th International Fair of Friendly took place in Mexico City on May 20th.

More than 90 countries participated in the event.

At the bazaar, art performances, fashion shows, photo exhibitions, handicraft products such as traditional lacquer paintings, non la (conical hats), and Ao dai (traditional dress) bearing the national identity, especially traditional dishes of Vietnam, attracted a large number of visitors.

Vietnam Ambassador to Mexico Le Linh Lan and other Ambassadors also made the rounds to every participating pavilion at the event.

Visitors to the booth showed their interest in the country’s traditional costume “ao dai” and cuisine.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Le Linh Lan, said Mexicans and international friends are very interested in and highly evaluate Vietnam’s unique cultural features.

The annual event aimed to strengthen the cultural exchange and mutual understanding, tighten the friendship and all-round cooperation between all nations in the world.

The event attracted a large gathering of representatives from the regional grouping including Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand./.
