The opening ceremony of the “Vietnam, Laos cross-border cultural exchange” took place on July 5 in Son La province. This activity is within the framework of the “Vietnam – Laos Friendship Year 2017’’.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien affirmed that the special relationship between the two countries is an invaluable common asset of the two peoples, the rule of survival, a factor guaranteeing the victory of the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

The exchange program is a chance for the people of Vietnam and Laos to review tradition, special friendship solidarity, comprehensive cooperation. This is also an opportunity to introduce and promote the potential and strength of cultural, sports, tourism and cultural heritage of the two frontier countries of Vietnam and Laos in the integration and develop.

The art program has the participation of more than 400 actors from the art troupes of Vietnam and Laos.
