Le Hong Anh, a Politburo member and a permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on September 3rd received Bounnhang Volachit, Vice President of Laos who came to Vietnam to attend the 70th celebration of the Vietnamese August Revolution and National Day.

During the meeting, Bounnhang Volachit congratulated Vietnam on the great achievements of historical significance gained over the past 70 years; showing his belief that Vietnamese people would continue to gain greater achievements.

The Lao Vice State President expressed his pleasure at the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperative relations between Laos and Vietnam which brought practical benefits to the two nations. He also thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for the invaluable assistance given to Laos.

He asserted that the Lao Party, State and people would do their utmost, together with Vietnam, to foster the Laos – Vietnam special relationship, to make it develop more profoundly, effectively and practically in all areas.

For his part, Le Hong Anh warmly welcomed Bounnhang Volachit to Vietnam to attend the country’s 70th celebration of its August Revolution and National Day.

He expressed thanks to the Lao Party, State and people for their great support for Vietnam during its struggle for national liberation and unification earlier as well as for its current renewal process and national construction and protection.

He also confirmed Vietnam’s greatest efforts in fostering the special relationship with Laos./.
