Vietnam will participate in the women’s category at the Badminton Asia Team Championship in Alor Setar, Malaysia from February 6 to February 11.

Thirteen teams are pided in four different groups.

The team are in Group Y together with Thailand, the Philippines and the hosts.

The best players of Dinh Thi Phuong Hong, Do Thi Hoai, Nguyen Thi Sen, Nguyen Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang are Vietnamese representatives at the tournament which will be held at Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium.

The men’s side will see 15 squads in which China, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei and Japan are top candidates.

The championship will works as the Asian qualification event towards the 2018 Thomas and Uber Cup finals in Thailand in May./.
