Vietnam’s Military Zone 4 receives Lao Order

The armed forces of Vietnam’s Military Zone 4 held a ceremony in Vinh city, Nghe An province on October 15th to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1945-2015) and to receive the Lao State's Freedom (Issara) Order, Nhan dan newspaper reported.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai warmly congratulated the armed forces of Military Zone 4 on their glorious feats of arms as well as their contributions to the country’s struggle for national liberation and unification over the past seven decades.

He also praised the service’s huge contributions to nurturing the friendship and special solidarity between the two Parties, States, armies and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

He asked the service to promote solidarity and exert every effort to realise the nation's strategy to protect the Fatherland in the current context, while helping consolidate the Vietnam-Laos relations.

At the ceremony, Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence, Lieutenant General Suvon Luongbunmi presented the Issara Order (first class) to Vietnam’s Military Zone 4 in recognition of their significant support to the Lao Party, State and people in the country’s struggle for liberation as well as in its national construction and development, according to Nhan dan newspaper./.
