There are over 60 mural paintings drawn by 30 artists from Australia and Ho Chi Minh City as well as students of Dong Thap-based universities, with images of lotus flowers and tangerine gardens in Dong Thap and Australia’s symbols such as kangaroos and koala bears.

The inauguration of the Vietnam-Australia friendship mural village is scheduled for early January 2018. The village, along with Cao Lanh bridge connecting Mekong Delta’s central region, reflects the close relations between Vietnam and Australia.

The bridge was built at a total cost of VND 3 trillion (USD 132.12 million), including AUS 160 million (USD 124.83 million) of non-refundable aid from the Australian Government./.
