(VNF) - The People’s Committee of the central province of Thua Thien –Hue has decided to earmark nearly VND10 billion to give support for beneficiaries and poor families during the 2015 lunar New Year festival.

Accordingly, the provincial budget will be earmarked to give presents worth VND200,000 each to 1,833 beneficiaries, assist each social sponsor centre with VND1 million, 886 children of war resistance activists and exposed to toxic chemicals with VND100,000.

In addition, 48,790 disabled homeless people, children in extremely disadvantaged circumstances, and those who are over 80 years old will receive VND100,000 each while over 30,600 poor and nearly-poor families will be given Tet presents worth VND100,000-200,000 each./.
