(VNF) - The Delegation of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) led by Vice President Bui Khac Son, has visited and worked in Bac Ninh province. Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee, Nguyen Tu Quynh has met and worked with the delegation on October 10^th.

On behalf of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh briefed some outstanding achievements in economic and social development in recent years. Starting point as an agricultural province, Bac Ninh province has been one of rapid and sustainable development province with top leading indicators so far.

Chairman Quynh emphasized, with liberal investment environment and attractive preferential policies, Bac Ninh has attracted 1000 FDI (foreign direct investment) enterprises from 31 countries and territories, of which the major investors from Japan, Taiwan (China), South Korea, Singapore, United States, Europe such as Samsung, Microsoft, Suntrory-PepsiCo, Foster, Mapletree, etc., with a registered capital and investment reached approximately USD 12.5 billion.

The Chairman stressed that results Bac Ninh achieved have significant contributions of the VUFO with the association’s members in province in improving efficiency external activities in the all fields, and actively expand friendly and cooperative relations with other countries and territories.

Mr. Quynh hoped the VUFO continue to care, create more favourable conditions for the VUFO's Bac Ninh provincial chapter operate efficiently and promote Bac Ninh’s image to the world.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the VUFO Bui Khac Son congratulated the achievements of the Bac Ninh province across all sectors. He highly appreciated the provincial administrations‘ concern for the operation of the Union in the province last term, contributing to the building of economic and social development, and national security at the province.

Vice President Son expressed thanks for the warmly welcome of Bac Ninh provincial leaders for the delegation. He also confirmed, the VUFO will always be a bridge supporting, connecting Bac Ninh with the organization and communities in the world, at the same time, introducing foreign non-governmental organizations to enhance socio-economic development in the area./.
