(VNF) – Quang Tri province’s Fund for Children on February 5 joined hand with the Zhishan Foundation (Taiwan) to launch two friendly libraries in Hai Lang district.

The program is part of the project “Make friends with books” sponsored by Zhishan Foundation, aiming to support local primary schools in opening, organizing and managing friendly libraries for students; helping establish the reading skill and habit at young age.

After over 1 month of hard work, the two libraries in two primary schools of Hai Que commune and Hai Lang town were kick started.

The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by leaders of relevant agencies, including the provincial Fund for Children, Quang Tri province’s Department of Education – Training, the People’s Committee of Hai Lang district, together with leaders of 21 primary schools and all teachers and students of the Hai Lang and Hai Que district primary school.

On the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Education and Training congratulated and encouraged the students and teachers of two schools to effectively carry out activities of the libraries.

“We hope that with the convenient and modern library, the abundant source of books, the support of students and close guidance of the Department of Education and Training, our students’ love for book and their knowledge will be strengthened, contributing to life skills development.”/.
