Nearly 300 Laotian Students in Vietnam Get Vaccinated Against Covid-19

The medical center of Tu Son town in Bac Ninh province, Hanoi University of Business and Technology cooperated with Bac Ninh's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control vaccinated 300 Laotian students in the university on Sept. 29.
Soukhaphone Mitta, a Lao student following medical major in Hanoi University of Business and Technology said "When I heard the university support foreign students to be inoculated against Covid-19, my friends and I felt very happy. After being vaccinated, I felt very secure to study and work. On behalf of all Laotian students, I would like to thank the Vietnamese government and the Hanoi University of Business and Technology for their concern and efforts to create the best pandemic prevention conditions for Lao students who are living and studying at the university."

In an interview with the Vietnam Times, Le Xuan Tuan, an officer of the university's Center for International Cooperation said that to ensure pandemic prevention and control, and to protect health and safety of Lao students, the university cooperated with Bac Ninh's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to get Laotian students vaccinated.
In addition, to support Laotian students in Vietnam to overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic, Hanoi University of Business and Technology has provided cash and necessities such as instant noodles, eggs, oil, with a total value of nearly VND 800 million (nearly US$ 35,000) for nearly 300 Lao students.
Besides preventing the pandemic, the school has also held activities to improve the quality of online teaching, prepare the best conditions to welcome Lao students back to school after social distancing.
