Vietnam-US mathematical conference opens in Binh Dinh
A total of 300 Vietnamese and American scholars are attending in the Vietnam-US Joint Mathematical Meeting (VUJM) which was recently kick started in Quy Nhon city, the Central province of Binh Dinh, on June 10.

Co-organized by the Meet Vietnam Association and Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), the four-day conference is chaired by Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, who represents the VIASM and University of Chicago, and Prof. Brian D. Boe from the University of Georgia.
The event brings together mathematicians and professors from credible institutions, which are Microsoft Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Southern California (the US), Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Toulouse Mathematics Institute (France).
Delegates will present and discuss a number of topics including Algebraic topology, Mathematics in Industry and Applied Mathematics, Algebraic Geometry and related issues.
