I have had the privilege of living in Vietnam for six years. From the very first days I set foot on this remarkable land, I was deeply impressed by the kindness and hospitality of the Vietnamese people.
I was amazed to discover the countless treasures Vietnam has to offer: its poetic landscapes, rich cultural heritage, profound history, exquisite cuisine, and, most importantly, its warm and wonderful people.
What touched me most, however, goes beyond these visible wonders—it lies in the unique philosophy that shapes the way Vietnamese people perceive and live their lives. In Europe, the individual often takes precedence over family and community. In Vietnam, I have come to sense that collective values hold greater importance clearly. Family, homeland, and the well-being of those around are always the highest priority.
Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in a trip to support orphans in Dak Lak—a profoundly moving experience that gave me much to reflect upon. I firmly believe that individuals can only truly grow and thrive through their connections with the community. The Vietnamese way of life, grounded in harmony and prioritizing collective happiness, is, in my view, deeply humane and truly inspiring.

During my time in Vietnam, one day has always left a profound impression on me: April 30th. Having studied the Vietnam War through Western books, I could not have imagined the depth of emotions and the remarkable resilience of the Vietnamese people until I experienced it firsthand.
To me, April 30th is not only a significant historical milestone marking Vietnam's national reunification but also a profound symbol of the enduring desire for freedom, the journey of healing, and the steadfast pursuit of development and progress. What moves me deeply is that the Vietnamese people do not dwell in hatred; instead, they honor the past with pride and gratitude.
This spirit of peace and solidarity is an inspiring message for the entire world to embrace and learn from.
