146 students in Nghe An receive Vallet scholarship
(VNF) – 146 Nghe An students with outstanding achievement in academic year 2016-2017 on August 30 received Odon Vallet scholarship.

The scholarship granting ceremony was held in Vinh University.
Professor Odon Vallet, Professor Tran Thanh Van; Le Minh Thong, Deputy Chair of Nghe An People’s Committee attended the ceremony.
The event also brought together representatives of local Departments, Sectors and many students, teachers in the province.
With the long-standing tradition of eagerness to learn, Nghe An has been distinguishing itself as an outstanding province in Vietnam in terms of academic achievements.
The province therefore receives special attention from the Vallet foundation.

This year, the foundation has presented 146 scholarships to students in Nghe An, with total value of VND 1.33 billion. Scholarship granted to students in colleges, universities is worth VND 16 million each, while scholarship for high school, secondary and primary school students is worth VND 9.5 million each.
Vallet scholarship was founded by Prof.Dr.Odon Vallet (Paris - Sorbonne University, France), aiming to support young brilliant students and scientists of Vietnam, through the scientific-educational foundation Meeting Vietnam (founded by Prof Van).
Since 2001, 33,000 Vallet scholarships have been awarded to students in Vietnam, with total value of VND 250 billions.
In particular, Nghe An province received 1,400 scholarships, worths VND 12 billion.

According to Prof. Dr. Vallet and Prof.Tran Thanh Van, the scholarship, which represented the Vietnam-France friendship, are granted to excellent students in Nghe An province to encourage them to keep being on the track of hard work, contributing to the development of Vietnam in future.
Le Minh Thong, Deputy Chair of Nghe An People’s committee, for his part, expressed sincere thank to Prof. Odon Vallet, Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Vallet foundation and the “Meeting Vietnam".
He hoped that the care and attention from Prof.Vallet and Prof. Van and colleagues will contribute to boosting the growth of Nghe An young intellects, inspiring them to strive toward part of the global intellectual community, glorifying homeland./.
