94 millionth air passenger welcomed by ACV
(VNF) - The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) on December 27 held a ceremony in Noi Bai international airport (Hanoi) to welcome the 94 millionth passenger aboard the 800,000th flight in 2017.
According to the Voice of Vietnam News, flight VN220 from HCM City to Hanoi landed at Noi Bai International Airport at 10:05 am the same day, carrying the 94 millionth passenger, Nguyen Van Huynh (from Vietnam).
The event also welcomed Nguyen Thanh Son, the 1,500,000th Golden Lotus member of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Addressing the event, General Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) Dinh Viet Thang said that the achievements gained by the airline sector contribute to welcoming 13 million foreign passengers to Vietnam.
Compared to 2016, the numbers of passengers passing through ACV’s aviation ports in 2017 surged by 16% to 94 million passengers, and handled 1,338,565 tonnes of cargo, marking a 19 percent increase. ACV has improved management capability and upgraded the infrastructure system with modern technologies and facilities to ensure absolute security and safety for all flights.
