ADB to assist Danang develop solid waste site
The Asian Development Bank signed an agreement today (July 18) with the central coastal city of Danang to provide consulting services regarding the construction of a municipal solid waste site.
The project will use a public private partnership vehicle in which private sector businesses will get involved in designing, building, funding and operating the disposal site, which includes a landfill, transfer station and recycling facilities.
Norio Saito, ADB Deputy Country Director said ADB has been always a key development partner of the city of Danang.
He noted the consulting services of ADB for the waste disposal site would further help develop urban development throughout Vietnam by serving as a master template other municipalities could use and adapt as needed./.
