April CPI soars 0.14%
(VNF) - The Consumer Price Index in April increased 0.14% from the previous month and 0.99% compared to the same month last year, reported the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Transport group saw the biggest CPI rise at 2.47%, followed by housing-building materials, clothing-hats-footwear, home appliances and equipment, medicine and health services, education and culture-entertainment-tourism with price increases from 0.01% to 0.32%.
Meanwhile, commodity groups with price reductions were restaurant and food services (0.42%), beverage and cigarette (0.1%) and post and telecom (0.09%).
Totaling the first four months this year, CPI climbed 0.8%. While education had the sharpest rise at 8,32%, transport costs declined over 13%./.
