Bunpimay traditional New Year held for Lao students in Quang Ngai province

According to custom of Lao people, the Bunpimay traditional New Year is usually held from April 13th to 15th every year with specific cultural activities to welcome the new year.

With a number of traditional rites and folk songs and dances performed by Laotian and Vietnamese students, this year’s event contributed to strengthening the Vietnam-Laos friendship.

Louang Lath Bea, a Laotian student in Vietnam said that living far from home, he was pleased to welcome the festival at the university, however he would feel better welcoming the festival at home./.
