The annual saigonchildren Charity Cycle Adventure (CCA) started in 2010 by a group of expatriates working in Vietnam, who love cycling and want to contribute to this country. Up to date, CCA has raised over USD 375,000 to help deprived children and young adults in Vietnam to go to school. Over the last 8 years, CCA has welcomed a range of enthusiastic cyclists from all over the world to conquer the most adventurous roads in Vietnam
To support all the intrepid riders, Damien Roberts – saigonchildren Executive Director joined the ride on the last day and he shared: “My first cycle ride in a decade hasn't broken me yet! We've crossed rivers, rail lines, crazy roads and battled through the rain…All are still smiling! Beautiful countryside, welcoming locals and great sense of achievement definitely helps.”
This year, the adventure began in Hue - the city in central Vietnam. The team conquered the Hai Van pass before pedaling along the picturesque road to Hoi An ancient town. While benefiting from scenic sights, this route is far from easy especially during the raining week in the Central of Vietnam.
