Consolidating personnel of Steering Committee on Price Management
A decision to consolidate personnel of the Steering Committee on Price Management has been signed by Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the Steering Committee.

Under the decision, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung was appointed to be Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
Other members are Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Van Hieu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dao Quang Thu, Deputy Minister of Health Pham Le Tuan, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs Huynh Van Ty, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Sy Hiep and Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong.
According to Decision 690/QD-TTg dated May 11th, 2014, the Steering Committee is in charge of researching and helping the Prime Minister consider and ratify or make decisions for major policies and orientations on price management in every period; comprehensively implementing policies on prices of essential commodities and services; choosing specific management measures on essential commodities and services in every period; and carrying out measures to stabilize prices of essential goods and services.
It also helps the PM to guide Ministries, Departments, provincial and municipal People’s Committees to undertake State management on prices in line with targets and requirements of the Government on inflation control and macro-economic stability in every period, and deal with other issues related to managing some essential goods and services, as it is assigned./.
