The Deputy PM also asked the Ministry to associate with related agencies and localities to enhance management measures on the quality and variety and to instruct producers to cooperate with investors to combine production with processing and consumption, ensuring the rapid and sustainable development of the tree.
Macadamia is a genus of four species of trees indigenous to Australia and constituting part of the plant family Proteaceae. The macadamia nut is dubbed the "the Queen of Nuts" for its outstanding nutritional value. Macadamia bark is used as fuel and fertilizer; the kernel is used for processing butter and cream and the extracted oil is very useful to many industries.
After more than ten years of being planted in Vietnam, the ten different varieties of the nut covers over 2,000 hectares suitable to climate of the Central Highlands and northwestern regions./.
