Friendship Exchange celebrates National Days of Viet Nam and Hungary

The Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association (VHFA) held a friendship exchange in Hanoi on September 18th to celebrate Viet Nam's National Day (Sept. 2nd), Hungary's National Day (Aug. 20th).

(VNF) - The Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association (VHFA) held a friendship exchange in Hanoi on September 18th to celebrate Viet Nam's National Day (Sept. 2nd), Hungary's National Day (Aug. 20th).

Nguyen Dang Quang, VHFA President; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Deputy Foreign Ministers; and Őry Csaba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Viet Nam, officials of Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Communist Party of Vietnam International Commission; VUFO and VHFA representatives; and Hungarian Embassy officials, were among the participants.

Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Dang Quang, President of the VHFA, extended greetings to Deputy Foreign Ministers Nguyen Quoc Dung, Ambassador Őry Csaba, Hungarian and Vietnamese friends attended on the special occasion.

Mr. Quang said Vietnam and Hungary are marking the 66th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2016. He applauded the constant development of friendship and cooperation between the two countries over the past 66 years. The relationship has been expanded and strongly developed in various areas over the years, he said, citing the regular exchange of visits by the two countries’ leaders to clarify his view.

The two sides will work together to conduct more pragmatic activities contributing to deepening the fine relationship and elevating it to a strategic partnership, he added.

VHFA Vice President Pham Viet Son also expressed his delight at new developments of the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary.

He noted his hope that with endeavors of the Vietnamese and Hungarian Governments and people, the bilateral ties will further thrive, yielding great and tangible results, for the sake of the two countries’ people, and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world at large.

The outstanding events such as “Hungarian Book Week” in Hanoi, performance by Hungarian guitar duet Ferenc Snetberger under the framework of European Music Festival and numerous cultural exchanges have contributed to strengthening the relationship and mutual understanding between Hungary and Vienam.

Hungarian Ambassador Őry Csaba in turn expressed his delight at fruitful cooperation between Hungary and Vietnam in various fields. He also moved to see many VHFA members, who once lived and worked in Hungary.

He affirmed the Embassy will spare no effort to support VHFA and Vietnamese students lived and worked in Hungary to foster the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam./.
