Hanoi: online updates for environmental information
(VNF) - An online platform providing information regarding weather conditions and environment index, including air quality, rainfall and flooding was put into use by the Hanoi People’s Committee on yesterday, Jan 9.
The newly established site: hanoi.gov.vn/quantracmoitruong is part of the Hanoi People’s Committee’s efforts in turning the capital into a greener, smarter and friendlier city. Updates from the website aims to facilitate residents and tourists in daily activities planning and raise public awareness of environmental protection.

Updates on weather conditions, air quality of the capital are now available at hanoi.gov.vn/quantracmoitruong (source: VNA)
Ten air monitoring stations are already set up to detect air quality, rainfall quantity and flooding areas. These data will also be used to support the study, management and modelisation of involving agencies. Data transferring system is now activated in 22 locations across the city.
Most the information is presented by using charts, graphs, highlighted with different colors to make sure viewers can easily follow.
In coming times, other environment observation index will be available to the public, including water quality./.
