Hanoi supports 76 outstanding poor students
Hanoi city Department of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, Le Duan school and Hanoi Children Protection Fundson June 22nd organized a program to support outstanding students from disadvantaged families in 2016.
The program aimed to honour outstanding people in the capital, creating opportunity for children to exchange and express their wishes. It was also a chance to encourage children to overcome challenges in their life and studies to be examples for other students to follow.
It supported 76 students from districts and social support centres in Hanoi. Each student have their special situation and they obtained high achievements in their study. Many of them won recognition in city and nation-level contests.
Each student was presented scholarship worth VND2 million, one set of textbooks and a gift worth of VND 500,000 from the Hanoi Children Protection Funds.
Earlier, the students visited President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and made a report on their achievements to the beloved President./.
