Hanoi's price index up 0.18% in July
Hanoi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in July soared 0.18% over a month earlier, 0.77% from the end of 2014 and 0.98% year on year, reported the municipal Statistics Office.
Of this, restaurant and food services which hold the largest indexes in the CPI basket increased 0.13% with food (down 11.3%), food products (up 0.34%) and eating and drinking out (up 0.24%).

Housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials saw prices rise at 0.32% due to the increasing demand in summer.
Other groups witnessing CPI rises in July were beverages and cigarettes (0.26%), clothing, hats and footwear (0.47%), housing appliances (0.38%), medicine and health services (0.06%), transport (0.11%), culture, entertainment and tourism (0.13%) and goods and other services (0.18%).
Education, post and telecoms held their ground on the previous month.
Gold price decreased 3.75% while the US dollar price increased 0.01% against June./.
