Ho Chi Minh city donates VND10 billion for natural disaster-affected people
Ho Chi Minh city leaders will reach out to the 5 central localities of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien – Hue, now seriously affected by floods, in order to distribute VND10 billion collected in the city to local residents.

The information was confirmed by Nguyen Hoang Nang, President of the Ho Chi Minh city Fatherland Front on October 16th.
Earlier, during a ceremony to mark the 86th anniversary of the Party’s mass mobilization work, Mr. Nang called on organizations and inpiduals to donate money to assist those who are affected by the serious flooding.
According to Mr. Nang, the flooding has caused great loss in humans and property. “The images of dead and missing victims; flooded houses; people struggling in flood water; property, animals and poultry swept away; and crops inundated in water have left painful feelings,” he said.
The city Fatherland Front receives donations at its office at No. 57 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 1, or money can be transferred to account 000870406001484 of the Saigon Bank for Industry and Trade./.
