India, Dak Lak province discuss cooperation prospects in coffee processing and solar power

(VNF) – Cooperation opportunities in coffee processing and solar energy development were discussed by Ambassador of India to Vietnam, Parvathaneni Harish and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, during his visit to the locality (from January 3 to 6).

During his visit, the Indian Ambassador has worked with the provincial authorities represented by Deputy Chairman of the Province’s People’s Commitee Nguyen Hai Ninh.

The Deputy Chairman of Dak Lak province took the occasion to brief Ambassador Harish on the social-economic development of the province, particularly agricultural policy for the coffee and pepper plantation, as well as potentials in solar energy.

The two sides afterwards discussed cooperation prospects between India and Dak Lak in coffee processing and solar energy, the two areas which the two sides possess immense advantages, as India owns one of the world's biggest solar power plants, and Dak Lak is the capital of Vietnamese coffee.

On the occasion, Ambassador Harish made a visit to a local pepper farm and Ngon Coffee, a wholly owned subsidiary launched by the Indian CCL Products Ltd of India in 2013, and is considered the biggest coffee processing plant in Asia./.
