Accordingly, localities are responsible for building up action plans on vocational training, in combination with other socio-economic development plans, satisfying the demand for economic restructuring and sustainable development by attracting at least 30% of high school graduates to join vocational training foundations.

Authorised agencies will work with the educational sector to increase the quality of vocational training foundations’ operation, accelerate the link between the foundations to further exploit efficiency in the use of the facilities, devices, teachers and managers.

Over the past 5 years, the Mekong River delta has trained over 1.2 million labourers, raising the number of trained labourers to 32.5% in 2015, an increase of 11.7% compared to 2010; however, the rate is still lower than the average rate nationwide (40.6%)./.
