Minister of Public Security Assistant appointed Chief of Hanoi Police
The Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi Police hosted a ceremony in Hanoi on March 16th to announce personnel decisions for the city.
Accordingly, Minister of Public Security agreed to relieve Chief of Police of Hanoi Major General Nguyen Duc Chung of his duty, and appoint Major General Doan Duy Khuong, Assistant for Minister of Public Security, to the position Chief of Police of Hanoi.
The newly-appointed Major General Doan Duy Khuong was born in 1960 in Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province. He joined the Public Security force in 1977, basically trained in the armed force, devoting his carrier in the grassroots level for 20 years (10 years in the district level, and another 10 years in the province’s police). During the 15 years working in the Ministry of Public Security, Major General Doan Duy Khuong has served as Assistant for Minister of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang, for 12 years, demonstrating his skill and professional experiences.
He was appointed Chief of Police of Hanoi under Decision 818/QD-BCA-X11 dated March 10th, 2016 of the Minister of Public Security.
Speaking at the ceremony, newly-appointed Chief of Police of Hanoi Doan Duy Khuong promised to actively and creatively operate the city’s police in the new context as the nation has successfully organized the 12th National Party Congress, towards the elections of the 14th National Assembly and the People’s Council at all levels for the period 2016-2021.
Earlier, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi city Party Committee and Chief of Police of Hanoi, Major General Nguyen Duc Chung has been elected as Chairman of the city People’s Committee with 94.56% approval.
During the 12th National Party Congress early this year, he became a member of the Party Central Committee./.
