Minister Truong Minh Tuan assigned as Vice Head of PCC Commission for Popularization and Education
(VNF) - The Politburo Decision 243-QDNS/TW has decided to assign an additional task for Minister of Information and Communications Mr Truong Minh Tuan, member of 12th PCC and member of the Party Committee Central Agencies Bloc, adding to his portfolio Vice Head of PCC Commission for Popularization and Education.
The Decision was signed by Mr Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and standing member of the PCC’s Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo.
Minister Tuan was born in 1960 in Dong Hoi city, central Quang Binh province. He has held the following positions: Head of Department of the Representative Office of the PCC Commission for Popularization and Education in Da Nang city, Director of Information Centre for Popularization and Education, Vice Head of PCC Commission for Popularization and Education, and Vice Minister of Information and Communications.
On April 9th, 2016, the 13th NA members approved him as Minister of Information and Communications, replacing Minister Nguyen Bac Son (63).
Earlier, Mr Bac Son held the same pair of positions, as he had worked as Minister of Information and Communications and Vice Head of PCC Commission for Popularization and Education during the 11th PCC./.
