Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Vo Thi Dung said that the mothers, with so many others, had silently sacrificed their most beloved relatives for the country, contributing to the great victory of the nation. “The title is the most holy affection that the Party, State and people present to the mothers,” she said, confirming that the city Party Committee and people were always grateful for the sacrifices of the mothers, as well as wounded soldiers’ and martyrs’ families.
During the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Vo Thi Dung praised Party Organizations, authorities, Fatherland Front at all levels, unions and people of the city for their activities in payment of gratitude, especially in caring for Vietnamese heroic mothers.
She urged Party Organizations, authorities and unions to further increase payment of gratitude activities and provide the best care for Vietnamese heroic mothers. “In particular, localities should help wounded soldiers’ and martyrs’ families living in poverty to escape poverty, ensuring that all revolutionary contributors’ families have equal or higher living standards with the average of local residents,” she added./.
