TRAVEX 2024 international travel fair opened on January 24 in the capital Vientiane (Laos). This is an annual event, organized alternately between countries, with the largest scale in the ASEAN region in the tourism industry, attracting the participation of national tourism agencies; tourism and hotel business community; media and press agencies inside and outside the region.

This year, the Vietnam tourism booth is hosted by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism with the participation of 5 localities of Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and three tourism businesses.

The booth is in line to promote and introduce images of tourism, the country, people, and culture of Vietnam; enhance Vietnamese tourism brand "Vietnam - Timeless Charm" with outstanding values and key tourism product lines, conveying the message that Vietnam is a safe, friendly, and attractive destination to the ASEAN community, partner countries and friends around the world.

Promotional content about Vietnam’s tourism is consistent with market trends in the new context, opening a period of development for Vietnam tourism, along with many promotional activities related to the "Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024" which is innovated in content and form. Also participating in the booth were the localities of Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh and some leading businesses of Vietnamese tourism, who also joined the booth.

Talking to the press, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province Nguyen Thi Thanh Chuyen said that coming this TRAVEX 2024, the delegation participated in a press conference to introduce the Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024; introducing tourism products at the Vietnam Tourism Booth; introducing the people, land, and traditional culture of Dien Bien province to tourists from ASEAN countries.

Chuyen expressed her hope that through TRAVEX 2024, international tourists will know more about Dien Bien, thereby learning and spending time in Dien Bien in particular as well as in Vietnam during the coming time.
