Over 100 Canadian institutions to join education fair in Vietnam

Built on the success of previous Canada Education Fairs, the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Hanoi, will organize the 2016 Canada Education Fairs in Vietnam from October 12th.

(VNF) - Built on the success of previous Canada Education Fairs, the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Hanoi, will organize the 2016 Canada Education Fairs in Vietnam from October 12th.

The 8th annual event will see a record number of over 100 participating Canadian institutions, making it the largest ever of its kind in Vietnam, the Consulate General said in a press release this week.

According to the organizers, the participating Canadian schools are among the country’s world-class institutions, as well as some provincial government officials. They represent the full range of education options, from kindergarten to Grade 12, college and university levels, as well as language programs.

This year, students will have the opportunity to meet with many of Canada’s leading universities such as University of Toronto, Ryerson University, University of Ottawa, Simon Fraser University, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, Western University, Concordia University, University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan and University of New Brunswick.

Students and families are encouraged to take this opportunity to meet directly with Canadian institutions’ representatives and learn about Canada’s education system and study options available. Moreover, they will have the chance to understand the visa application process and work opportunities for international students after graduation, as well as meeting and learning from alumni’s experience.

A special seminar on applying for student visas will be led by a Canadian immigration official, aimed at providing the public with transparent and clear guidance on this topic of concern. In addition, there will also be seminars introducing the Canada’s education system with useful information for prospective international students.

The fairs are open to the public at Novotel Hotel in Da Nang on October 12th, from 16:30 to 20:00, at Melia Hotel in Hanoi on October 15th, from 09:00 to 15:00, and at GEM Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on October 16th, 2016, from 09:00 to 16:00./.
