Painting contest to prevent discrimination against children affected by HIV/AIDS

The contest aims to convey lively images to the public about children relating to HIV/AIDS being stigmatized or discriminated against. These messages will help mobilize the whole society to protect children, and support children affected by HIV/AIDS, raise awareness to change attitudes, behaviours and anti-stigma and discrimination against children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Entries sent to the contest are paintings and messages relating to protection and care of children affected by HIV/AIDS. All Vietnamese and foreign children living in Vietnam aged 6-16 can send entries to The Family and Child magazine, at No. 139 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

The contest lasts from June 15th to October 30th.

The award of the contest includes two first prizes, each worth VND5 million, four second prizes, each worth VND3 million, four third prizes, each worth VND2 million, eight consolation prizes, each worth VND1 million and two prizes voted by readers, each worth VND500,000.

The organizing board will review entries and present awards in Hanoi this November, to mark the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control./.
