Tran Kim Toan, Director of Thuong Nhat Limited Company, the investor of the project, said that the first river bus route will begin operation on November 25th.
The proposed ticket is VND15,000 each ride, regardless of the length of travel. “With this price, we made every effort to attract passengers and tried to keep the cost for a long time,” said Toan.
The river bus route uses five ships, with four running daily and one in reserve, providing about 75 seats each.
Earlier, the investor launched pilot operations for several months.
The 10.8 kilometer route will serve 12 wharves, nine official wharves and three additional ones, and a one-way journey over the entire route will take approximately 30 minutes, with maximum three minute stops at each wharf./.
