According to Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Department for European Market Duong Hoang Minh, bilateral trade reached USD660.6 million in 2014, up 32.2 percent from the previous year.
However, the potential has yet to be fully tapped as direct investments remain low, he said, hoping that the pending free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Union would facilitate cooperation between enterprises.
He also stated that an inter-governmental committee will be set up to intensify coordination in high-potential fields and mitigate difficulties in their bilateral relations.
At the conference, participating Polish companies introduced their products and machines serving food and agricultural product processing and shared experiences in applying technological solutions in mineral processing./.
