Politburo member works with Hoan Kiem district Party Committee

On September 27th, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the city’s National Assembly deputies delegation, Hoang Trung Hai worked with the Standing Board of the Hoan Kiem district Party Committee on the implementation of political tasks in the nine months of 2016 and missions for the rest of the year.

In his reports at the meeting, Secretary of the Hoan Kien district Party Committee, Hoang Cong Khoi said over the past nine months, the density of trade and service in the district’s economic structure reached 98.03% while those of industry-construction only made up 1.97%. The growth rate of service, trade and tourism turnover was more than 18%. State budget collection posted over VND3.89 trillion, 83.5% of the year’s plan or a year-on-year rise of 29.1%.

The district raised 10 proposals and petitions to the Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, especially proposing to be the main investor and using the district’s budget to develop some key infrastructure projects, including underground tunnel connecting Tran Nguyen Han street to Chuong Duong Do.

Hoan Kiem aslo proposing allowing it to actively associate with relevant agencies to study the detailed underground space in the district in parallel with researching the planning for the overall underground space throughout the city, and develop underground space around old streets.

Secretary Hoang Trung Hai hailed the efforts and achievements the Hoan Kiem Party Committee and people made over the past nine months. He asserted Hoan Kiem has much potential in politics, economics, capital and business, especially in trade and service. Thus, with the position of being the key district of the capital, it should promote advantages and potential to renew thinking and determination, dare to think and dare to do to become the leading district.

In the rest of the year, he urged the district to accelerate the development pace of trade, service and tourism in the direction of improving the quality, efficiency and sustainability. In addition, it should attach importance to promoting trade, tourism and high-quality tourism types, expanding and persifying new tourism products and strictly dealing with insistence and cheating against foreign tourists./.
