Poor families in mountainous district provided with cow assistance
The Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) on September 14th worked with Dakrong district People’s Committee in the central province of Quang Tri to grant 146 cows worth nearly VND2.5 billion to poor families in the district.

In accordance with the program, Dakrong district encouraged the families to build the breeding grounds as required while the district Department of Agriculture and Rural Development plans to organise training courses on raising cows for breeders.
As planned, from 2014 to 2016, Viettel is giving assistance worth over VND20 billion to Dakrong district to build 166 houses for poor families. In addition, a medical station will also be built in the district with assistance from Viettel amounting to VND4.9 billion.
During this time, 303 cows worth VND17 million each are being distributed to poor families in the district. The remaining 157 cows will be granted for the poor families in the near future./.
