Provinces receive free seedlings
The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to take free-of-charge 121 tons of maize seeds, 15 tons of vegetable seeds and 70 tons of rice seeds from the national reserves to the 3 provinces of Lao Cai, Hoa Binh and Tuyen Quang.

The distribution of seedlings aims to help the provinces overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
In particular, Lao Cai province will receive 80 tons of maize seeds and 15 tons of vegetable seeds while Hoa Binh province will be assisted with 70 tons of rice seeds and Tuyen Quang province with 41 tons of maize seeds.
In February, the Prime Minister also directed MARD to allocate 1,400 tons of rice seeds, 267 tons of maize seeds and 13.7 tons of vegetable seeds to the 5 provinces of Lang Son, Quang Tri, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan that were affected by droughts and storms./.
