Quang Ninh sees over 100 FDI projects in effect

As of June 20^th, the northern province of Quang Ninh licensed additional two FDI projects with a registered capital of USD8.3 million, reported the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Currently, the locality has 104 FDI projects in effect with a registered capital of nearly USD5.1 billion. Almost all of the projects were put into operation. Disbursed capital in the first six months of the year was estimated at over USD179 million.

Since the early of the year, about 50 foreign business delegations, investors from Japan, China and the Republic of Korea visited and worked with businesses in Quang Ninh to survey investment climate in the province.

As planned, Quang Ninh will grant investment licenses for 4-6 FDI projects and adjust capital increase for 5-6 existing FDI projects in the second half of the year. In addition, the province will continue to direct relevant agencies to improve investment climate, renew investment promotion activities and call upon strategic partners and investors./.
