Rice purchase and reserve likely to end in mid-April
As of March 29th, domestic traders purchased about 760,000 tonnes of rice, fulfilling 76% of the 1 million tonnes of rice which were delivered for purchase and temporary reserve, reported the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).

With this, by April 15th the target for temporary reserve of 1 million tonnes of rice will be achieved.
VFA has recently supported enterprises in some localities to access loans for the purchase and temporary reserve. So far, Vietnamese traders have signed contracts to export 2 million tonnes of rice and exported about 540,000 tonnes of rice./.
