The construction was enabled by a VND30 trillion package in support of providing affordable real estate.
Accordingly, the low price flats were built in Thuan An commune and Thu Dau Mot city, very near a high number of industrial zone workers in need of accommodation.
Labourers and workers have priority in buying the flats with preferential loans at low interest rates from the VND30 trillion package.
Two years after the implementation of social housing project, so far the province has tranferred ownership of over 5,000 flats, mainly to workers and labourers in industrial zones.
According to the project, Becamex is assigned to build 64,700 social flats with a total investment of over VND12 trillion./.
