Some 158,000 auto units sold in 2014
(VNF) - The domestic Auto market sold sales nearly 158,000 units in 2014, a year-on-year rise of 43%, reported the Vietnam Auto Manufacturers Association (VAMA).
Of this, car sales increased 42% while truck turnover soared 42%.
By December 2014, locally-assembled vehicles enjoyed a 32% sales rise while imported CBU (completely-built units) sale surged 83% from last year.
In December alone, the domestic auto market sold over 20,200 units, including about 13,200 cars and nearly 7,000 trucks, up 27% from the previous month and 53% from the same month last year. This is the 21st consecutive month auto sales saw a year-on-year growth./.
