Souvenirs marking national reunification victory
The tank occupying the headquarters of the Saigon Administration and auto-biographic quotes from President, Duong Van Minh are some of souvenirs for the victory leading to the national reunification on 30th April 1975.
In a stall showing exhibits relating to the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign at the Vietnam Military History Museum, many relate to the victory on 30th April 1975. In the picture is the tank seizing the Saigon Administration Presidential Palace at noon that day.
The Jeep seized at Da Nang Airport on 29th March 1975. Captain Pham Xuan The, vice-head of Regiment 66 and his comrades used this car to enter the Independence Palace at noon on 30th April 1975 and take the Saigon Administration President Duong Van Minh to the Saigon Radio station to read and broadcast the declaration of surrender, ending the resistance war against the American imperialist (1954-1975).

The loudspeaker attached to the Jeep by Truong Tan Sy, a commissar of the Phu Quoc district armed forces, together with 8,000 people entered to liberate Duong Dong town on 30th April 1975.
