Team established to inspect environmental protection in Nghi Son economic zone
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) has issued a decision on the establishment of a team to inspect environmental protection in projects and industrial zones belonging to the Nghi Son Economic Zone in the central province of Thanh Hoa.

Accordingly, the team is led by Luong Duy Hanh, head of a department under the Vietnam Environment Administration under MONRE, together with representatives from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Environment Administration, the Thanh Hoa provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Nghi Son Economic Zone Authority and industrial zones, as well as Thanh Hoa provincial Public Security.
In addition, domestic and foreign experts and scientists will join the team until projects and investors of the economic zone complete environmental protection constructions and until the constructions are put into operation.
The team will inspect compliance with environmental protection laws within economic zones as well as the ongoing projects, in order to promptly detect and strictly punish any violations; present statistics about waste needing to be controlled; and inspect waste discharging activities into the environment.
Besides, the progress in building environmental protection constructions, the operation of waste treatment construction, and the waste water treatment system and infrastructure project of the economic zone will also be checked./.
