Traffic accidents take 47 lives on first days of 2015
Nearly 100 traffic accidents occurred nationwide on January 1st-2nd, claiming the lives of 47 people and injuring 59 others, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
On January 1st, the first day of the four-day New Year holiday, 39 accidents left 20 dead and 25 others injured.

Sixty accidents were reported on January 2nd, killing 27 people and injuring 34 others.
During the days, traffic police also fined nearly 24,300 violation cases, detaining 36 cars and nearly 3,000 motorbikes.
The traffic in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city in these days is rather quiet as people return to their hometowns or take tours.
Earlier on December 31st, 2014, congestion was seen in many roads of the two cities, while all bus stations were almost full./.
