Traffic hotlines set up during New Year holiday
The National Traffic Safety Committee has announced 12 hotlines to receive complaints on traffic problems during the 2018 New Year holiday from December 30, 2017 to January 1, 2018.

Citizens having complaints about ticket prices, passenger overload and other issues relating to road, railway and inland waterways can call seven mobile numbers of 0913432383, 0962665953, 0166623357, 0915869900, 0964045445, 0917908085, 0977497891.
The committee will handle problems regarding traffic safety and accidents via the hotlines of 0868911911, 0936198387, 0989088719, and 0941329634.
Meanwhile, reports on traffic rule violations and punishments can be conveyed to the Department of Traffic Police via 0692342608.
In the first eleven months of 2017, Vietnam recorded 18,384 traffic accidents that killed 7,604 people.
Statistics from the committee showed another 15,189 people were injured in accidents, most of which took place on the roads.
Compared to the same period last year, the numbers for traffic accidents, deaths and injuries decreased by 5.38, 3.83, and 11.61 percent respectively.
The main causes of accidents were speeding, driving on the wrong lane, and poor driving skills, among others.
In November alone, traffic accidents amounted to 2,217, with 77 deaths./.
