Earlier, the provincial Party Committee issued a resolution identifying that the province developed perse production models among Khmer ethnic minority regions to bring high economic value. Accordingly, crops and livestock offering high productivity and high quality were put into production in the application of advanced science and technology.
In particular, 175 production development models were carried out. Over VND22 billion was spent giving support to over 4,300 poor families as capital for expansion of plantation and breeding work. In addition, another VND86 billion was allocated to help over 7,100 families have residential land, production land and access employment. An additional VND63 billion was distributed to 703,838 poor people to help them overcome initial difficulties for continuing to expand production and stabilise their lives.
Apart from State support, agencies increased dissemination of information about poverty reduction, encouraging poor families to strive for themselves. As a result, a majority of Khmer ethnic minority families can now afford production materials and good houses./.
