Vietnam Airlines: Direct flight from Hanoi to Australia to start in March

(VNF) - As Australian tourists are among the biggest spenders in Vietnam, national air carrier is going to offer direct flights between Hanoi and Australia.

The national carrier Vietnam Airlines is set to launch the first direct flight route between Hanoi and Sydney from late March to satisfy the increasing travel demand of passengers. Spokesperson of the firm revealed that the first non-stop flight with Boeing 787-9 will take place on March 28 and tickets will be on sale during this month - reported by the Australian Business Traveler. The news agency added in details: Flight schedules for departure from Hanoi is set on every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Australia is among the biggest tourism markets of Vietnam with more than 320,000 arrivals in 2016, up 5.6 percent from the previous year.

Australian tourists were named the biggest spenders in Vietnam, according to an official tourism report released in November 2015.
