The two leaders conveyed their pleasure over the recent positive advancements in the Strategic Partnership between their nations, particularly the collaborative efforts for the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1955-2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Days of each country.

In discussing future cooperation, both leaders have agreed to bolster political trust by exchanging delegations and engaging in high-level contacts across all levels. They aim to foster cooperation through Party, State, and National Assembly channels, people-to-people exchanges, and local connections. They commit to enhancing effective bilateral cooperation mechanisms, coordinating the implementation of signed agreements effectively, and swiftly developing an Action Program for the upcoming period. The focus will be on promoting cooperation in food security, high-tech agriculture, electric vehicles, the digital economy, the green economy, and the circular economy.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has proposed initiatives to increase bilateral trade turnover with Indonesia to 18 billion USD, aiming for a more balanced trade direction. He has called to facilitate businesses from both countries to invest in each other's markets. Additionally, he has requested Indonesia's continued cooperation with Vietnam in reducing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities, and to ensure humane treatment of fishing vessels and fishermen in line with the Strategic Partnership and the ASEAN spirit of solidarity.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin discussed the upcoming generational shift in Indonesia's leadership and stressed that the cooperative relationship between the two nations will not only persist but also evolve more comprehensively.

During this event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Indonesia's support and the attendance of its high-ranking representatives at the ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) and the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, to be held in Vietnam in 2025.
