Vietnam and Japan cooperate in environmental assessment
The Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on environmental cooperation with Japan Association of Environment Assessment (JEAS) in Hanoi on October 28.

Accordingly, the two sides will foster cooperation in activities related to strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment, laws and regulations related to environmental management; auditing systems of environmental assessment, among others.
As part of the MoU, the two sides will conduct cooperation in the form of study tours between Vietnam and Japan; organising scientific seminars and symposia; exchanging information; and coordinating to develop and provide scientific programmes, including training courses, seminars, and scientific conferences.
